What’s Up???

We haven’t been up to much lately and haven’t seen anyone in awhile, so I thought I would post a quick update. The wet cold fall weather is here, so we have been trapped indoors most of the time. We started watching Home & Garden Television one night, a big mistake! That weekend I was finally finishing the tiling of the backsplash in the kitchen. I had to tear out the range hood to tile behind it, soooo…. since it was out, may as well replace it…. Off to Home Depot….

Hmmm…. Nice new range hood, now the stove looks older than ever! Okay, we’ll look at the price of stoves and then maybe get one in the new year. A nice GE on sale, but if we buy that, then the fridge will look terrible…

Later that week, I am waiting at home for the delivery guys to install our new fridge and stove. Of course, being an old house, there is doubt that the new appliances will even fit through the door. In the end I had to remove the front door, frame and all and the fridge just barely squeezed though.

All in all it was an interesting experiment in impulse buying, but our kitchen looks great except for the floor. We are going to a dog breeder this weekend to check out the puppies, so we will wait until after the training to replace the floor…

    Hi Juliette and Robert
Wow, congratulations (on the dog!). You are right not to do the floow till the puppy is trained. You’ll have fun and he/she will too going on hikes, etc. with you both. They are so much fun and great companions.
Looking forward to seeing you at Bob’s at Christmas. Talked to Lori re christmas gifts and agreed that we will just take a nice bottle of wine (or two) and enjoy the company. Hope you think that is OK. Your “Fat Bastard” wine is getting a lot of attention this season. Thanks to you both, we can say we’ve already tasted it. We have some good wines that we have tasted, especially since we too visited Niagara-on-the-Lake. We can talk about it at Christmas. See you both.
    Lynne
