The Eagle Has Landed

Juliette called me this morning from Gabon. After travelling from Sunday night to Tuesday morning, she landed, changed into her coveralls and her new steel toe boots and started work nearly immediately.

When I talked to her she sounded super tired and a bit burnt out, but she is fine. She is getting off early today and they are having a BBQ this evening, so hopefully it will be a chance for her meet a few more of the people she will be working with and unwind a bit.

I’m finding it pretty weird rambling around the house alone and can’t wait until Juliette gets back. I’ll just have to make sure that I keep myself busy over the next few weeks.

I miss her already! I hope she’s getting a tan for me too. Remember the 18th!!

Thanks for letting us know Rob - have tried to ring her tonight, but no luck. Will try again tomorrow. You take care of yourself and perhaps will talk over the weekend?
