Adirondacks and My New Nephew

After a busy few weeks, I have finally managed to get the latest batch of pictures up. Juliette’s parents came over to visit for two weeks. The managed to get down to the Niagra wine country a couple of times and Don got to see his old friend Johnny Stringer again. We then took a couple of days off around the long weekend and headed down to Lake Placid in the Adirondacks.

We stayed in a small cabin in a campground near Wilmington and explored the area from there. I think my favorite was the brew pub in Lake Placid, but I think Don is most fond of our little hike in the mountains.

We spent the last week BBQing on the back porch and going to a few great local restaurants like the Water Street Cooker. I am eternally grateful to Don for fixing my ailing speakers. It is great to have music again! As always, parting at the airport was hard, but I am sure it won’t be long until we see them again.

The day after Don and Carrol left, Juliette and I headed off to London to see Mark, Lori and their new son Brandon. My mom and Jane were also there. Grace and Jamey played together all day and we had a chance to catch up.

Then, just when I thought I had Juliette back to myself, she was off to Pitsburg for a training course for most of the week. We are finally settling back into a routine and looking forward to the fall. We are registered for a couple of very long mountain bike races and are planning a trip sea kayaking down the Saugenay river in Quebec for a week to see the whales. Make sure you check back next month for those pictures.
