Water and Road

14,000 people showed up to the Ride for Heart on Sunday and raised nearly $1.5 million. To everyone who supported us, thanks for the help. The ride went extremely well despite a cold wind gusting from the NW at 50 kph. The 75km course did one lap of the Gardiner and two laps of the Don Valley Parkway. It was hard with the headwind and the long up-hills, but coming south downhill we whizzed along at over 50 kph with little effort and we managed to finish in under 3 hours.

I have also started working on my kayak again now that the weather is starting to warm up. I have epoxied the deck bringing out the beautiful mahogany grain and the cockpit coaming is drying as I type. For those that are interested, I have started putting pictures of my progress up again. You can find the latest picture here.
