Sea Kayaking in Georgian Bay

Sea Kayaking Juliette and I are just back from a great long weekend sea kayaking with Greg and Malin. We left from Britt on Saturday morning. Britt is a small town on Georgian Bay about an hour north of Parry Sound. The wind was still pretty high, reminents of the huricane that passed through, so we had an exciting paddle out onto the bay and south around the islands as we looked for a campsite. We found a beautiful spot on Gereaux island and set up camp for the weekend.

Sunday we paddled north along the coast looking for a geocache, then Juliette and I went for a long evening paddle to find another cache to the south. We paddled over 22km on Sunday and were ready for bed after a few beer and a fire. Monday we paddled back out and had lunch at the amazing Britt Hotel. I highly recommend it if you are ever passing on your way up north.

I have posted a few pictures in the gallery from this trip and another album with random pictures from the rest of the summer including the 2.4 hours of chaos, Steve, Terry and Gary’s birthday party.
